Default Who is interested in Facebook

According to Techcrunch, Facebook, one of the largest social networking and photo sharing site is regarded by internet users to be the next firm to be bought by the e-giants.

There were a lot of rumors that the company would be bought by the following companies:

News Corporation - owns MySpace
Yahoo - a possible deal with Bebo
Viacom - hesitant to buy Facebook because of the selling price of $3-6 billion dollars
Google

Among these companies there is no yet confirmation of an approved deal, also because of the different needs of the buyers, which should be first addressed, also come up with the financial issues and other concerns.

for a company like facebook, it would be a good decision if the CEO would first consider a benchmark plan before doing any dealings this could give them ample subjects to consider, remeber the hardwork spent in building facebook right?

Facebook has changed to netlog .i did register there but I am not really using it much . But yes i have also read these news about viacomm and then google being interested in facebook . google unthinkingly interested in every website with a traffic and established . Yahoo is reportedly looking at Facebook for a much lower price. If Google made an offer over $2 billion, and threw in autonomy to boot as it did with YouTube, that'd beat off Yahoo .There has been speculation on Facebook’s future previously. In December 06, after turning down attempts by Yahoo to buy the company there was talk that Facebook may be headed towards an IPO. Six months later we haven’t heard anything more on the plans.

Sell or course! Nowadays, people build up business, sell it, and then go surfing the rest of their lifes...

And online businesses can't last more than a couple decade at most.. by the time you want to leave it to your kids, it'll be worthless...

Facebook is growing by leaps and bounds, they just haven't figured a way to monetize that traffic properly. Once they do, expect their value to go through the roof.

I think a better alternative is not to reinvent the wheel and build another social network, but build a mod for it or an app on top of it and profit from it's ready user base.

Hold your horses, Facebook now comes with a very high price tag! Just read that it had eclipsed all other social networking sites by bagging the top spot.

And here's more: Dell and Facebook will make an unspecified announcement which makes every one guessing. Check out the story: http://news.yahoo.com/s/cnet/2008081...331002059093_1
