Knol has a few extras than wikipedia:-
- More focus, info on the contributor
- Able to receive comments from others
- Rating system
The idea is to get people to participate and contribute. The rating, will serve as a simple guide for people to determine which article is better, the comments will provide people to correct any errors or to add more info, and the info on collaborators will encourage more people to write knols.
