When you say the simple words, “how can I help you?” you are opening up an opportunity for someone to share what their needs are. If you actually have adopted a philosophy of servant leadership, you will understand that if you can serve others, then others will see you as a leader, and someone to look to for help, partnerships, and advice.

All feedback is welcome!

If the 'How can I help you?' is genuine, you're right. But if it's just a routine salutation from a sales clerk, it really loses strength.

When you time it right those words really do make that difference. I have had the opportunity to exchange so many e-mails with potential cllients and find that the straw that breaks the camel's back is usually when they reallise you are there to help them achieve results. Show them how you can be of help and always distinguish yourself from the crowd.

How can I help you, Gajandra? Wow! Those are music to my ears especially when I am in need of great help! I had a chance to experience that when I had a little trouble with my car. My car stalled somewhere isolated. I am hopeless and started to call for help. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a complete stranger asked "Sir, how can I help you?" That guy saved my day. I think he is an angel!

That's right! "How may I help you" is standard and yet very powerful especially when the person really needs help and assistance. In business world, this kind of question only reflect that we value quality customer service.

Imagine those times when you are in dire need of someone to help you with your concerns? Then suddenly there goes a support from someone asking you "How may I help you today?" It is just so refreshing to know that somebody is always there to attend to us the most that we needed them.

That is absolutely right!

When we serve others without waiting for any reward in return ot our good deed we would benefit then because the more we humble ourselves, we would be given great opportunities ahead of us.

Successful people did not succeed because of being boastful, they are able to survive because of their kindness and service to their fellowmen, without thinking of the status of the other, either rich or poor.

May we got a lesson for this virtue that we could easily digest...
