If a blogger wants to reap the benefit of affiliate marketing , he/she needs to join promote affiliate programs that are directly linked to the content on his /her website .
Like a adult blog cannot hope to sell something like related to kids and similarly a artistic blog visitor might not be interested in adult ads .
This is similar to the contextual advertising google adwords provide .
