Default 5 reasons for inactive affiliates

  1. They didn't know they were getting into. Possibly by just referring to the category and EPC without reading the terms, cookie duration, etc.
  2. Have traffic but don't know enough to effectively convert to sales.
  3. Sign up too early but wasn't ready. Site not done or traffic still low.
  4. They forgot. Too busy to remember.
  5. Don't know how to upload links and banners to their site.

That's where the Affiliate Managers come in. They assist the affiliates in putting up links and suggesting ways on how to effectively promote the product. They remind the affiliates from time to time and check out their web sites. It's really crucial for an affiliate to choose an affiliate network with excellent affiliate support to encourage them to perform better. At Affiliatebot, we are proud to say that we have dedicated affiliate managers who are always ready to help affiliates with their marketing needs.

In addition to that, inactive affiliates signed up just for the sake of signing up but don't really know what Affiliate Marketing is all about. That is why at AffiliateBOT, we make sure that affiliates perform by contacting them from time to time and sending them the available information to power up their engines.

The super affiliates have the income to keep on selling more because they can hire staff to develop sites and to do other duties. The middle-tier affiliates just need focus. They might have signed up for too many merchants and cannot give enough attention to any single one.

One good way to get focus from affiliates is exactly what is happening at Affiliatebot. By having a dedicated forum for the network, affiliates have a home to come back to when they need some help with their campaigns.

My affiliate sites used to rely on third-party scripts to generate data-fed stores but the best ones used web services so that I did not have to worry about the currency of the data. Where I had to generate flat pages myself, it would take several hours and it was a demotivating task and I slowly stopped doing those campaigns.

New affiliates just need a lot of guidance and encouragement. They should not be scared of asking newbie questions.

There are just so many of them who donot really make it . The curse of the lazy affiliate is present for most affiliate managers. Inactive affiliates don’t affect program statistics; however, time is spent and often wasted in an effort to help these affiliates. Certain online companies will restrict affiliates from joining their program by requiring a formal application that must be approved. The downside to applications is that affiliates may not want to spend the time filling out the form and valuable affiliates could be lost in the process.
