Default The Problem with LinkShare

Common complaint of affiliates from LinkShare was with expired promotions and coupons. There are links having expiration dates listed, but are a year or more past that date. Even some don’t have expiration dates listed, but are no longer valid once tested.

To amend this issue, LinkShare implemented a start and end date for all creatives.

According to ActualAffiliates.com:
"That’s great, unfortunately, all they did was adding a default start and end date to every link in Linkshare saying : Valid between 27-feb-2007 - 01-Mar-2012. Now even the obviously expired links who have an expiration date listed, show they are still valid until 2012.

How is this improving anything? Is this helping affiliates ? No is doesn’t. It’s still up to the affilate to track expiration dates, and remove expired links."

The network is too big to constantly monitor their promotions. They should have enabled their promotion to be time-sensitive or having shorter promo duration. Setting it up to 2012 is to complicated as a lot of things happen between 2007 and 2012.

that's the common problem in big networks...I hope I am not generalizing...but somehow, the growth outruns the company!
