C.P.A stands for “COST PER ACTION”. In other words the cost for getting someone to take an action on something. In C.P.A marketing (closely related to affiliate marketing) what you are required to do is to send someone to a particular company’s website and then hope that the person takes up an action because if he does you get paid, even if he ends up buying nothing. Such an action could be as simple as the prospect filling just his zip code! It could entail him filling a 3 page form or downloading a free software. In all it depends on the company that you are dealing with. What makes promoting CPA offers so attractive is that the user generally does not have to buy anything and is just required to enter their personal information. Once they complete the lead, you earn a lead commission.
Sometimes you don’t necessarily even need a website. Just find a way to send people to website of the company involved. You don’t need to build any mailing list. Yes, you might not need one at all. All you need in c.p.a marketing is: - Get good companies that are willing to pay you - Register with as many of those companies as you can - Send targeted traffic to the companies websites - Start receiving commissions for every action each visitors take The major work in CPA marketing is sending ‘targeted’ traffic to companies’ websites over and over again. The word ‘targeted’ as used above is very important because sending the wrong traffic to a website would most likely yield poor returns. For example, If a CPA Company is willing to pay you $8 for everyone who downloads a free software of forex trading and then you end up sending 10,000 people to that site who are interested in playing golf. How many of them do you think will download the software? The answer is obvious! Very few of them, probably less than 100. The truth here is that you are sending traffic to the website but not the right or ‘targeted’ traffic. But if on the other hand you send just 1,000 people who have interest in forex trading to that website, you can be sure that up to 70% of them will fill that form because already they have interest. C.P.A NETWORKS: Unlike affiliate marketing, In C.P.A marketing you don’t look for companies that will pay you money for sending people to their sites rather you look for what is called CPA networks. These are the companies that will refer you to the companies that will pay you. The beautiful thing about CPA networking is that while you are paid like by the companies you choose to advertise, the CPA networks also gets paid. PUBLISHERS: These are the companies that are going to be paying you for sending traffic to their sites. They would go to the same CPA networks and negotiate deals with them and if they get approved. Their websites will be sent out for you to start sending traffic to them and be getting paid. You are the one to decide if you want to promote an offer by a publisher or not. You must be very strategic when it comes to picking publishers. But just remember that a publisher is the one who is paying you for sending traffic to them but the CPA networks are the ones that network you to the publishers. AFFILIATES: You are called an affiliate. I believe you already know who an affiliate is. An affiliate is someone who gets paid for making a sale. But in CPA a lead might just be enough to get earnings so whether you make a sale or not you get paid.
