Default Media Organizations : Google's next prospect?

By the way things are going through, from the continuing saga of the Yahoo and Google competition, as I see it Google is leading the way because of Google has its "GoogleEarth" feature which attracts of online viewers and publishers at the moment the said part was launched.

Media companies has the potential growth since they joined the internet, their influence and existence for a while in the net has included the search engines, publishers and software companies as a whole to join their respective organization.

It is now rumored that as Google grows, it now targets media organizations, particularly, NBC Universal and Dow Jones. Although Dow Jones owns the Wall Street Journal, these mean that Google could really extend its empire and swarm the market with new ideas. Ad revenues are the core factor of the company's crawl for profit. As seen during the last quarter of 2006 and earlier, Google has acquired three companies for Ad revenues alone, particularly You Tube.

It is also reported that aside from the future acquirement of media organizations, the company is thinking about some other ways to market, even off-line businesses such as outdoor billboards, tv and the like. But to make these effective marketing, they need a good media partner. Read the full article here.

That's what we call aggressiveness! I think for multi-billion companies like Google, nothing is impossible. They can actually do anything...they got the money, they got the expertise and they are in control!

Somewhere along the way there will be loosers ang gainers. Smaller players would probably eaten alive by giants!

One of the basic principles of any buisness is to expand. There's no status quo. You're either eating or being eaten.

Well how can the role of media be forgotten in the very media centered world these days . And also since google is on a buying spree how can media organisations be far from its eyes . With their core business inevitably waning, Google has been building an auction platform for ad sales beyond search. Consider some of Google's other recent acquisitions: Doubleclick, dMark, and YouTube. Google bought DoubleClick and dMark for their distribution technologies, ad inventory, and powerful clients. Google bought YouTube for its video content and enormous volume of unique users .
