Default Guidelines in choosing shopping cart

Choosing the best shopping cart solutions for your launch into ecommerce is critical to the success of your online business. There is a big choice of shopping carts all over the internet and sometimes it's rather difficult to choose the one. One of the main features of any shopping cart is user-friendly interface for the shoppers. Some of the shopping carts are not updated from time to time, its a big hassle for online buyers to purchase certain item that shows availability and then after doing a long process of buying, you end up only to find out that it is not...Totally disgusting!!!

People do not like filling the forms. Your shopping cart should not require the shoppers to be registered. The design of your shopping cart is a plus factor if it is based on templates. If all of these are present in your site, you can increase your sales.

It's very important before you begin reviewing software and services, be very specific in what you actually want the cart to be able to do. You may really don't require all the bells and buzzers offered by high end packages.

Some companies offer free shopping carts, but bear in mind that nothing in this world is truly free!!! So be extra careful in choosing...you have to read all the important details even the fine prints.

That's true! Online shopping should be easy as snap of your finger particularly for those who have no time browsing items at stores. Shopping carts should be user-friendly that even first time buyers will have the comfort and convenience purchasing online.

It's just a matter of time until we're all converted into computer junkies.

There are a number of commercial and open source shopping carts software out there. Open source is a better option as the source code is available for free and can be customized as per one’s needs as there is a large number of programmers enhancing the source code across the world.

I hate checkout forms that delete all of the info I entered and ask me to fill in again because of 1 error in the form. Sometimes, there's request for info there that is just not relevant and it's wasting my time.

Yes, you are right, David Tan. This is a major flaw in many online form processing and due to this, many valuable customers are lost.

However, Ajax (Asynchronous Javascript And XML) is a new form of programming wherein you need not refresh your page, to see further information and your earlier information is retained. More information on this can be seen here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AJAX
http://www.asp.net/ajax/

http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/AJAX
http://www.ajaxmatters.com/
http://java.sun.com/developer/techni...les/J2EE/AJAX/
http://www.ajax.org/

Hopefully, the loss of data during the filling up of the form shall be a thing of the past.
