Questions about “Local SEO”??? “Local SEO” service for my web business

I have my own website but have never been able to place top 10 in the search engines. I have read about SEO and even tried to optimize to achieve better positioning without any results.
Can anyone point me to the right direction? I really don't know what I am doing wrong. I am not a professional developer, I am self taught, but have been writing html for years.

Any help will be greatly appreciated..

Hi micky, what keywords are you targeting? The most important steps in any successful SEO is about keywords. Well if your site is a new one and targeting some competitive terms such as "make money online" "weight loss programs", "forex trading" then your web site needs agreesive techniques to get top 10 rankings. The SEO techniques are not that hard but I have to say it requires patient. You will not see your site rank good in 3 months time at least. But of course if you are targeting competitive terms like I said at the above, it may take ages or even a year campaign.

I understand your feelings Micky and I have to say link building is the second most important task of SEO after keyword research..

Hello, I am getting you very well...

There’re so many factors: on page: keyword in title, link text, in bold, link text from back links, size of your site, frequency of updating your site..
Or Have a look at Organic Search Engine Optimization that for some more tips. The main thing is that seems to work is getting you to top from other sites to help you rank well.

You should use wordpress (if you are not). It all depend on all the factors that your site must have, offsite and onsite SEO. The articles must have unique contents, good keyword density (up to 25%) and a whole lotta backlinks to your site including press releases and article submission.
