Allow me to present a premise for banner advertisers:

Your web site's conversion rate is directly proportional to the success of your banner ad campaigns.

I am giving this stipulation because I want to make a point that the marketing campaign is not yet finished when your prospective client is dropped off at the landing page of your banner ads.

Banner advertising cannot be effective if the Web site you are promoting can't sell. The key is to find a program or site that would convert cash to your banner placement. It is not enough that you place different kinds of banners in your site - you need also to evaluate your banner performance as well as the conversion rate of the program that you are promoting.
