Default Content Matching - Tip for Affiliates

The idea of Content Matching is to maximize the revenue to your site/s by displaying ads related to the content on your web site. Simply put, it means you are employing a targeted approach in placing ads in your site.

Say, in a particular page you are discussing 'Printing Saving Techniques' then it is wise that you place an ads matching to the content such as 123inkjets ads or perhaps a Canon Printer ads.

In employing this technique you can gain the following benefits:

* Additional revenue by monetizing the content of your web site.
* Users satisfaction by offering them ads related to their interests.
* Optimization of your contextual advertising.

It is a win-win situation to make good use of your site by combining the ads you are promoting to the right content. This kind of simple tips may be the trick to jump start your income!

Right! I totally agree...it is a matter of targetting your audience and putting the right banners at the right places.

Just one funny moment...I remember Yahoo! Auctions putting banner ads of Ebay on some of its auction items. The next day, Yahoo! Auctions was bombared by its auction sellers' complaints on putting a competitor's banners on their items.

....certainly on the content-matching genre, but a bad affiliate marketing strategy from Yahoo!

You're absolutely right, Ronald!

In affiliate marketing, there is really such thing as compatibility. That means, the ads you place must be in line with what your site is all about. In this case, you not only maximize your website but also you're giving your traffic not only information but also various options of links that they can divert to.

The best thing to do is to join a program that is suited best to your site. Better yet, website development and improvement is a must for an affiliate to actually realize his efforts, in such a way that specific banners or ads could be placed in a proper location of his improvised pages.
