You may not feel that your website featuring a merchant's product is newsworthy, but in the world of internet marketing it is! Sending out an internet press release can increase exposure to your site and even assist in your search engine optimization effort.

The way it works is easy; you write an article announcing anything about your site. It could be a sale that the merchant is doing, a new line up of products you are featuring or anything at all. Next submit your press release to news groups and press release services.

Once you submit your release it goes out to news groups and can be implemented by these groups in several ways. The easiest way is for the group to cut and paste it into their group's message board. The most common and technical way is to include it in RSS and ATOM feeds. These xml data feeds automatically publish your pres release on the websites that have implemented a feed from their source of choice. Instant exposure!

Most sites will charge you for a hefty $25 each press release. Others as high as $79. Of course there are also free. Take note that Press Release Distribution Sites that are free might not get good results.

I have written many press releases and their obviously important to your program. First thing to deterimine is where to publish your PR, then the most convieniant time to do so. They should be short and to the point, since they usually go on resource sites with limitted space. The idea is for the media to have to edit it as little as possible. It is not an "ad" in the true sense of the word, it is basically for branding and "being there" among the competition.

Though the popularity of press release is lesser, but it is avery good way to bring in traffic to your website . press release is not an advertisement. While you can certainly use them to promote a new product or service in your business, the actual press release should read like it’s being written by a neutral third party. Think of yourself as the reporter writing the story about the product, why it was created, and a little history. Don’t hype up the product, just give them the facts.One of the most powerful ways to bring traffic into a website and build links is to use press releases.
