Yes. Problem with amazon though is it is a one day cookie
So I don't throw pay per click or anything like that at it
Also I think the commission is about 7% to start with

I think using ppc is the best way to promote Amazon products. People looking for something to buy will definitely search on search engine like Google based on the product name, model or etc. So it's very targeted and the conversion rate should be better.

You are right about the commission. The rate is not that really that high, so if you are looking for a big profit, try promoting expensive products ie >$250 (my suggestion). You need to do some math here. Know your keywords pay per click.
