Trying to Start an Affiliate Program with 50% commision

Hi All,
My name is Bradford Hickey. I am the director of operations here at Nutritional Science Laboratories. We have been trying to start up an affiliate program of our own and I have read a lot of great information on this site on becoming an affiliate but I'm having a hard time finding information on how to promote our program. I won't be the one managing the program we have our affiliate manage James Lower for that but I would like to be proactive in getting the word out. The pay structure should sell it self with 50% commissions but it seems we are off to a slow start. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
