Default Newbie introduction and questions

Hello all! I´m one of the new members of affiliateBot!
Name is Roseblood, but you can call me RB

So, I have done affiliate marketing for about 2 months now, and have made no sales. I have my own website and I have "promoted" it in about every single free advertising/blog/article in the web, well maybe not in every single one, but still, I don´t get any visitors to my website! If I get 6 uniques in a week, that is a record. If anyone has any good advertising/traffic raising ideas I could use, It would be greatly appreciated. I honestly am starting to feel pretty let down. I would put my website adress here for you pros to check it out, and tell what I could do better but if I understood correctly, that is against the rules :P

Thanks in advance
RB

Hi Roseblood!

First welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your concern regarding your affiliate activities.

There are a lot of factors to consider as why your affiliates sales is slow or in this particular case nil. One is that earnings is proportionate to the traffic your site generate. Since there are less traffic (6 max), sales likely would be as your current stats (or absence of stats). Generating traffic usually takes time - its like planting sycamore tree - unless you are willing to spend advertising your site. Another concern is what keywords you are using to drive traffic to your site.

These are just some of the reasons for your slow sales but it would be better if we can properly see what actions you have taken to give a comprehensive analysis. What I can suggest is try to browse to the forums and see how others do their stuff. Try to experiment and see what best suits your campaign. If your campaign is not getting good results, try different strategy. Affiliate Marketing is actually a hit and miss thing. So I suggest - keep on swinging away!

The key is not to get discouraged. Unfortunately it can take longer than two months. If you ultimately want to get natural traffic, the search engines can keep you in the sandbox forever. But think of the positives, this gives you time to perfect your site and add high quality affiliates to it.

good luck!

hi andhikaekananda,

As you may already know, AffiliateBot is a network connecting Merchants and Affiliates. Affiliate marketing is known as the best way to make money online as you are only required to promote the merchant's program and earn commission for each sales or leads. So to start with any of the programs in AffiliateBot, you need to register first. Or if you find any interesting program, just click on "Join This Program" button.

Sale is when visitors required to purchase a product or services which means there's money transaction involved. Then the merchant will pay you based on the commission plan.

Lead is when visitors are required to complete a form like a survey form, questionnaire etc. Usually the merchant's intention is to gather visitor's information for future sales, analysis, behavior study etc. And the commission is usually a bit low compare to making sales.
