Getting banned from Google Adsense is not a pleasant thing as it means loss of face, credibility and money also. You may get a warning or your account can be disabled and there is not much hope for any feedback as Google is not obliged to give any explanation for their actions.
Some webmasters and affiliaters use Google Adsense to generate their total income from the websites and the account can hold many different websites.
In that case, every website is disabled at one time and the existing click-through earnings are refunded back to the advertisers.
One can protect oneself from getting banned as there are specific rules in the
“terms of service” which every Google Adsense Webmaster accepts which are as follows:
- Do use the Adsense approved formats only
- Do keep your click-through data and income private.
- Don't display Adsense on registration or thank you pages.
- Don't use Adsense code and a competitor's content-targeted advertisement on the same page.
- Don't encourage anyone else to click on ads.

Ways to get banned
If a Webmaster clicks on the site’s own ads, it is the easiest way to get banned:
- The number of click-throughs that are needed to get a site banned is not known, but Google Adsense watches for multiple clicks from the same domain. There are instances where people have got banned by clicking more than once from the same domain in a day. It is just to state that Adsense appears to place suspect sites on watch status until the action is duplicated.
- Spikes in click-through percentages are red flags as these sharp changes arouses the suspicion of the Adsense. It is like this; a site that had a consistent 1% click-through rate now has 10% click-through rate in a day, can become a suspect. Like the click-throughs , the number of click-throughs that are needed to get a site banned is not known.
How to safe guard your account?
The safety measure is to be honest and not resort to deceptive practices. They only work for a short period and come back to hurt the person who did it.
Moreover, resist the temptation to click on your site's own ads.
