Exclamation What you need to know about affiliate frauds

Affiliate Marketing, with its approximately 10 years of operation, is considered to be one of the infants in the performance marketing industry. It is for this reason that affiliate fraud is rampant and still inevitable. In the e-commerce field, affiliate fraud is referred to as a malicious and unlawful act done by an affiliate with the intention to make money. This act brings negative effects to both the merchant and the affiliate in the affiliate marketing business. These "fakes" take money from advertisers or merchants by bringing forth false leads or sales. On the other hand, they steal from affiliates by redirecting traffic to their own sites and getting the credits for the transaction completed. They do this by performing some affiliate ID link alteration and utilization of spywares and adwares to collect information without the consent of the users.

Fortunately, there are different actions to be done to lessen, if not totally eradicate, these bogus affiliates who do all the lying, cheating and stealing that they can just to be able to make easy money. The best way to combat fraud affiliates is by way of efficient and effective prevention, supervision and communication. Affiliate Managers must conduct some intensive screening of affiliate applicants in order to avoid being in the affiliate fraud arena. Doing this will prevent malicious intruders' entrance in your network. The cliche "Prevention is better than Cure" also works well for the affiliate marketing business. But your anti-fraud strategy must not end there. Once an affiliate is already a member of your network, constant monitoring must be done by reading their e-mail newsletters, visiting their site and study the links coming from that affiliate. Link reviews detect and trace suspicious traffic from a specific affiliate.

Also, be a constant member of forums that talks about these frauds to be well-educated about other networks' measures in preventing such Internet Lawbreakers. Doing this also will gives you an idea on the best-known parasitic website there is and have the first-hand actions in case you encounter them in your network. Fraud-prevention forums also give you a venue to tackle the anti-fraud latest trends.

Every affiliate manager must dedicate some of his or her time performing some anti-fraud actions and educating his/herself about this affiliate marketing issue. Doing this is a reflection of the respect, professionalism and level of importance you have for both your affiliates and merchants. Also, it is the network's reputation and credibility that are at stake.

Default a toast to Fraud fighters

Because of the online fraud occurring on the far regions of the web, it is a must for affiliate networks nowadays to be parasite - FREE. We could accomplish this by picking the right network to be with, and checking the background of every affiliate that we choose to approved.

See , just like pros and cons of everything that is there , so like if there are good affiliates that are working hard there are bound to be some rotten apples too . But seriously , I am concerened with the frauds against affiliates like click fraud , which is probably the biggest one to churn the hard earned money of ann affiliate . though it cannot be erased completely and it is hard to monitor , it does hit the conversion ratio for sure .

Click fraud = hardest to battle (even google gets sued for it)

I think that's why AffiliateBOT chooses not to enable click programs, but rather pay per sale or pay per leads (which are easier to detect).

Newbies are more likely to try frauds though, and then they get their accounts blacklisted forever. There are lots of affiliates who work hard for their earnings and they deserve every penny of it and that's AffiliateBOT's duty to ensure they do.

In such a little time..affiliate marketing has actually grown multitudinously. Frauds in all aspects will always be there, and so far, affiliate marketing in general is doing quite good, and is a steady industry.

And AffiliateBOT takes pride to be a part of such a young steady industry.

See i have seen one thing that is clear to me by now that online money making scams will always be there , so it is you only who need to be careful a lot more .One of the first business opportunities you may join is an affiliate program. They are easy to maintain and are a good way to start your business. However as with all business ventures they are not without pitfalls. Every year affiliates lose 100s of dollars of their hard earned commissions. You can avoid this by taking a few simple steps. Affiliate marketing is a fun and rewarding business and does not require a lot of complicated payment systems. There are many who make a good living from these programs.
