Barack Obama is on his campaign tour, speaking in different towns. Who will be Obama's Running Mate? Or McCain's Running mate. Expect the results on August 28th Thursday during the Democratic Convention and then McCain's announcement on Friday, supposedly to steal the 'thunder' from Obama's announcement. The Republican convention begins a few days later on Monday.

Barack Obama is hitting hard, and going on the offensive. It's the right time, as the pressure mounts and voting day draws nearer.

Obama's ads are divided into three types:-

Mud Slinging season has begun with both Presidential candidates digging dirt on each other and letting it fly into their faces.

Obama's critizising McCain on how he has so many houses that he can even 'forget' the exact amount in an interview with Politico.com. Why is this so critical? Because after McCain's comments that the 'Economy is fundamentally strong' and that he comments that a wealthy person is those earning $5 million and above, it portrays him as a person that is out of touch with the general population that is struggling financially. Making him 'a people for the rich'.

Ofcourse, Obama has scandals of his own with Tony Rezko, convicted felon having helped Obama get his million dollar mansion.

Joe Biden is chosen as Obama's running mate, hopeful to be the next vice president. It's a good choice, bringing much needed foreign policy experience. Someone that will challenge Obama's decision and speak his mind. Also, the image helps. Putting someone 'mature', with grey hair next to the young Obama helps complement the image. If McCain is stressing on 'Is Obama ready to lead?' then Joe Biden adds more credentials and leading support.

Lost his wife and daughter in car accident, with two sons injured and saved by firefighters. A man who commutes home to see his recovering boys every night. This pattern persisted, and as an AMTRAK regular, he is there for his sons, for their ballgames and at the dinner table.

Michelle Obama's speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Obama does attract alot of influential people around him. Who will better unite the nation? Obama or McCain? It seems that if the nation is united towards a common purpose, they can rise far above the nation's challenges.

Bill Clinton comparing Obama to himself. He does have alot of fans, and even when he's not the president, he's a celebrity.

Also, Martin Luther King III, MLK's son has spoken out on how King's dream is being realised in part by Obama, but that democracy, true democracy needs to be more than just voting. That the dream of the 'beloved community' must come also from everyone playing their part.

Also when Obama speaks at the convention, he's probably gonna read out this transcript. Lots of attacks there at John McCain, in that he doesn't get it and that he's for Bush.

Lot's of drama going on.

Firstly if you haven't already, check out the popular Obama's Speech at DNC 2008. It's exactly the same as the leaked transcript that was mentioned earlier. Word by word, except for a few additionals during the intro. So he talks the good talk with good scripts.

Next, a new focus on McCain's attacks on Obama. Focusing on the 'turmoil' in the world. The fact that Iran wants to eliminate Israel, Georgia and Russian conflict, etc, and in how Obama has no experience dealing with terrorist and warring nations.

Obama's same old washington message would sound well with many Bush haters but then, the question McCain continues to stress is, can Obama do any better?

We also know by now how the Republican Convention was postponed because of the Hurricane Gustav. Scary coincidence.

Also, John McCain's Running mate Sarah Palin is facing a scandal in her own family. The fact that her daughter is having a baby out of wedlock, is stirring up alot of chatter. For one, some evangelicals are applauding her decision to keep the baby, approving the 'pro-life' stance. Then again, she doesn't have any challenges in life that would provide an arguable reason not to keep the baby in contrast with hard-core poor and abusive families. What was she gonna do? Abort the baby because it was shameful? Also, there are concerns on how well she is leading her family, reflecting her leadership on the people and how well would she lead if she were the Vice President.

The ad introducing Senator Sarah Palin. McCain's judgment is called into question as to why she was chosen. Didn't they do a background check? Is there any 'ulterior' motive?

Also, you can see that in the video ads for Obama, the logo has been now changed to 'Obama Biden'.

McCain and Palin are severely influenced by their religious beliefs, which may lead them to make irrational decisions. "Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God," she said.

We really can't afford more of the same.

Palin just placed Obama in the same level as a 'community organizer'. Highly insulting, and with a recent ad to compare achievements, well, Obama is fresh compared to alot of veteran politicians. Which is why Obama's reply was that it was really insulting to the efforts of the common people and it makes them look like that it doesn't matter.

If Senator Palin was running against Obama, the chances for the republicans would be higher? Younger mavericks seems to trump old man image, which is that they're set in their ways.

Racing from the 60 day mark to the finish line. Checking out youtube videos, forums and articles comments, you can't help it but to sense that the internet community loves Obama. You can check it out for yourself, the number of comments that is FOR Obama is way more than FOR McCain.
Reading in the news, it displays the picture that this will be a very tight race. So the new generation is generally for Obama while the older generation is generallyfor McCain, or is McCain's team just good at PR and manipulating the news? Polls says it's a tight race and that anyone of them can be the next President. But generally in a tight race like this, the Republicans usually come out top?

Well Democratic candidates like Obama depends on outsize support from women. Since he's chosen Biden and McCain chooses Palin, there may be some women voters crossing over to McCain. Republicans is generally male dominated, and McCain's army credentials would still hold the fort while reaping the benefits of an increased 'maverick' image with Palin in the team.

McCain seems to have stopped the 'sexism' attacks like previously displaying ads of Clinton being 'left behind'. Although if he's able to stick that tag onto Obama, it'll make a significant dent on Obama's campaign.

This is one of the most negative attacks ever by John McCain. See the 'Education' video that makes Obama look like a... pervert. Not just a pervert, but a pedophile. About Obama pushing for sex education to kindergarteners and how it's wrong to teach children about sex before they learn to read. Of course, it's totally misleading as, it was meant to provide an 'optional' well though out answer to children asking 'where do babies come from' question. The traditional answer has always been 'The stork brings them'. Perhaps there's a better answer than that? And at the end, it was meant to protect children from sexual predators. Not everyone agrees with this as some would prefer 5 year olds stay as 5 year olds.

There's alot of negative comments regarding this ad on John McCain. Stuff about him using children, perverting the truth and so forth. But the ad does make people question Obama's judgement.

Reading the comments people leave behind, you see that comments For McCain are usually one liners, while comments For Obama are a few sentences longer.

And the lipstick on pig comment by Obama in saying that Palin (the 'lipstick') and the pig (the huge and ugly problems facing the nation), isn't going to solve anything. People have been calling that 'sexist'. Plus McCain's new video ad on Obama wanting to 'destroy' Palin, is the most hypocritical ad ever. Lambasting Obama for being 'negative' and trying to dig 'dirt'. I mean the ad itself is a negative attack. Come on, which planet is McCain living on?

McCain Doesn't know how to email? - Leader of the country who can't email? And he's suppose to be an example to world leaders?

Lobbyist & McCain - It's obvious who will run the White House, but McCain supporters don't mind?

Palin is starting to overshadow McCain? That's very damaging to his image as a leader.

Bush's political advisor, Karl Rove has commented that both presidential candidates, Obama and McCain should stop with the negative ad attacks which includes many unsubstantiated claims. Stuff like McCain claiming that Obama calling Palin a pig when he mentions that her involvement in solving the country's problems are like putting lipstick on a pig. So the country's problems are pretty ugly right now.. like a pig and the solutions the republicans have to offer are ineffective like the lipstick.
