With the numbers of people looking to work and live in the US ever increasing, programs such as the US Green Card Lottery has been a hit. The lottery runs each year, granting 50,000 Green Cards to applicants at random.

A Green Card gives an individual the legal right to live, work, and study permanently in the United States. They will also receive health, education, retirement, taxation, social security and other benefits.

The program is open to participation from all individuals worldwide who fulfill the two basic entry requirements- a high school education, and at least two years working experience.

This official U.S. government program aims to diversify the American population by creating an immigration opportunity to under-represented ethnic groups.
