Do you take into account the processor or he ram ?

What do you people take into account while buying a PC?

I recently bought one and I was concerned about buying the best PC that needs all high end demands , I wanted to run .net framework and developer studio , plus oracle 9i on it as it was related to my work .
So , I guess i had to take into account both the ram and the processor .
What is more necessary according to you .
