Hi everyone!

I run a personal / music review website: http://www.david-bridge.co.uk/

I'm new to affiliate marketing and have a couple of newbie questions. Firstly, what does "lead" commission mean? I presume sale means you get a percentage of the sale. Also what's a good way to set about improving search engine ranking? I understand that it's based on being linked to from other sites...

Lead commission pertains more to commissions that you receive when you generate a sign-up/submit an online form/make an enquiry. 'sale' commission involves actually purchasing something although many programs define sale and lead as the same thing.

If starting out with SEO, it's best to learn from a 'SEO' cheat sheet. Do a google search for 'SEO cheat sheet' and you'll turn up SEO guide stuff like this
