Question Advantages of Share-A-Sale

Hi,

what are the advantages / disadvantages of share-a-sale in comparison to other affiliate networks, e.g. Clickbank, Linkshare, Paydotcom, Commission Junktion.

What are the main characteristics / differences?

Please give som input.

All The Best,
Marcel

I guess the type and class of the affiliate network.

Linkshare and CJ are sort of in the same league... They are the biggest networks in the world but CJ have better tools and easier to manage. Linkshare's user interface is very old and seems outdated to me. CJ can set you back about $7000 total to set up your program and charges you about $500/month. LInkshare is worse... could set you back $2000/month even if you don't make a single sale.

Share-a-sale and AffiliateBOT is probably in the same league as well, ie, cheaper set up and easier to get on board as merchants. (About $500/total setup and deposits). AffiliateBOT's user interface is simpler to use as compared to shareasale...

As for PayDotCom and Clickbank, those are best suited for info-products and they also collect payments for you.

I think there is a major disadvantage of using ShareASale. That disadvantage is that merchants manage themselves. All too often have I promoted offers through shareasale and merchant account funds run low. This is harmful to your earnings. Just think, your promoting an offer, your driving sales and leads and the merchants funds run out for you to revceive your commission. The merchant still gets the sale or the lead but you lose out because the merchants funds run out.

Hmm... this is interesting indeed.

So far, at AffiliateBOT, our Accounting dept is quite good at chasing payments from merchants and even if merchants don't pay up, we end up paying affiliates out of our own pockets.

The BizCentral network has about 500,000 members. The affiliatebot network has about 20,000 active affiliates currently. It is growing rapidly though. And we are currently developing a suite of web 2.0 tools. Watch out for them.

We are running our programs at Shareashare and we are getting good return of investment so far. Got good performing affiliates. Great customer support. Easy to use controls. Regular in-house training. And many more.

Default ShareASale - Merchant point of view

I'm a merchant and ShareASale is great from my point of view - zero up front cost.
