The Affiliate Manager delivers, and is a integral part in any e-business companies. They have several job assignments particularly, they are used to do things by multitasking, to mention a few here are some:

1. Identifying and receiving new affiliates
2. Maintaining and stimulating relationships with the current affiliates
3. Developing and monitoring affiliate promotions
4. Reporting for affiliate marketing promotions and activity
5. Maintaining on-going communication campaigns
6. Identifying and Implementing other opportunities to enhance the affiliate program
7. Keeping affiliates up to date on new products and any program enhance- ment
8. Continually motivating affiliates to perform better
9. Keeping track of affiliate sales and paying affiliates in a timely manner ( for in-house affiliate managers)
10. Monitoring and reporting on competitors affiliate campaign and promotions.

The 10 duties as listed were just a few to be mentioned, there are still a lot to discover and changes would be signs of development and expansion, as they say we should conquer our dreams with greater responsibility.

Is it really necessary that we use a affiliate manager . Many of the affiliates do all the tasks themselves .
Maintaining the on going campaigns is very crucial because sometimes or many times it happens that an affiliate tries an idea on a campaign and leaves it to work , if that might not work , so many of them just shed it and try on another product . but the right approach would be too try a different technique instead .
