Default Blogger acquires skills for jobs

For all the blogger out there, what kind of jobs would benefit from your ability to blog well?

Since good bloggers are able to write, I'd expect that copywriting jobs would be suitable. Writing promotional copytext, taglines (skill acquired from thousands of titles a blogger comes up with each post) as well as some creative writing like writing a novel, essay/short story.

The ability to blog and handle a blog/site, might also land you a webmaster job or blogging for a corporate blog/site.

Knowing how to generate readership, subscriptions, match relevant content with reader's demands, etc is suitable for editorial jobs.

Being able to get the message out to people effectively, communicating to mass number of readers, managing enquiries, comments, develops skills as a community manager or assisting in politics, elections, mass comm.

Although, if you're a great blogger, the advertising and marketing opportunities may deter you from getting a job. (Many times, that's why people blog in the first place).

A good blogger would do great as a blogger. Maybe writing for a paper, but not copywriting. That's a whole different ball game.

What about a blogger that's an experienced affiliate marketer and not just uses adsense? I'd expect that he'd come up with many promotional posts, text/google ads, or created landing pages, presell content, etc. All these efforts to way surpass what adsense can do in terms of monetizing the site. Ofcourse bloggers that just blog about their lives and not putting up promotional posts would not have mastered copywriting. Like you said, writing for a paper would suit them. Creative writing and the fine art of exaggerating and blowing a story out of proportion? Would be useful to.

Wordpress.com regulates it and has very specific terms and conditions attached to using their free blogging system through wordpress.com. Not surprising, since they're not well funded like blogger.com by google. But they have lots of cool plugins and tools for blogs.

Ofcourse it's better to go to wordpress.org, download the software and host it yourself instead of going free. More freedom, more control and better in the long run with your own domain name when it comes to SERPs.

However, if you can't seem to blog there, better to ask their support about it.
