Default Google Index Site Image - How to improve chances
Reading around forums, and been getting some post that says only small percentage of total images in a site gets indexed into google images. You may have tens of thousands images but you can be indexed for only 30+ - 300+ images.

Also, it may take 6 months, 1 year, or 2 before it's indexed.

But it seems that the images that do get indexed have the following characteristics:-
  • Big image
  • More content
  • Fewer images per page

Which is logical since most people aren't looking for thumbnail size images.
