Advantages and disadvantages of having multiple sites rather than one consolidated site with multiple sections.

example:-
aaa.com --> health
bbb.com --> fashion
ccc.com --> politics
ddd.com --> love
eee.com --> art

rather than

aaa.com/health
aaa.com/fashion
aaa.com/politics
aaa.com/love
aaa.com/art

Lazier Method

Well, it's gonna be alot more work to SEO 5 different sites. As long as you target aaa.com, all the rest of the sections will get some additional rank juice from it.

Aiming High Method

Of course, with multiple sites that rank well makes the site more targeted to specific demographics, more credible which increases conversion/clickthrough rates in affiliate marketing. If you've got some really good targeted keywords in the domain name, then it's a good bumb for your ranking in Search Engines.
