Default Google Spending Hundreds of Million Dollars on Green Energy

Green Energy is a worthwhile project for Google.

Google has already committed $20 million on solar-thermal and high altitude wind power research plus they'll spend hundreds million more dollars on future projects to drive the price of electricity from these green resources lower than energy from coal-fired plants.

Well, there's always been a high demand for green energy and a higher demand still for cheap green energy. Yes, Google Power indeed.

I'm a big fan of Google, and the corporate commitment to a better society is something I wish more larger corporations did.

Default Global Warming Is A Serious Isuue

Global warming is a real issue and burying our heads in the sand is not going to make this go away

In spite of all the hateful things that have been said about Google, they continue to show by their actions what a responsible business it is that they run

As an online marketer I am always impressed by the stance that google takes on key issues

Let us hope other big corporations follow Google,s lead

The thing about green energy is that it will save you money in the long run. Most people think short term and are not willing to invest in solar panels or an electric vehicle.

But it seems Google has their hands in everything. So I'm not surprised anymore.

And microsoft announced that they wanted to be 'more green' although no plans yet to fund research on renewable energy like google. They have stuff like making vista more green and allowing users to monitor their energy usage. Something is better than nothing and something from microsoft will still have an impact.

I don't think that microsoft will start the ones that google is doing cuz they already have too much projects at hand that have along way to go (although power consumption is related).
