The widget developer contest this time, has a theme which is "Travellers", as compared to the last widget contest that has no definite theme, although the prizes are cool such as the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS Lite.
For the current widget competition, the Windows Mobile phone, which runs on Opera, Nintendo DS Lite and Opera goodie bags. The purpose of the competition is to promote widget developer software which is the software used by some of the top mobile device manufacturers. It also aims to enhance the interests of widget writers which is a vital part of Opera version 9.
