Hello,
I hope this is the right place to ask this, if not I am a noob so sorry! Being new at this whole affiliate thing, I have received some datafeeds and I am tryng to figure out how these are intended to be used. Is there some php script I have to get that incorporates this into a page, or set of pages on my site? or Am I supposed to get some software that generates a page on my PC that I upload, and then I update the feed through Affiliate bot once in a while? or Do I create a database on my host and this csv has to be imported into that as a new database or a table? It seems like the possiblities are many, and I guess I am just not sure what to do with these feeds now that I have them. I appreciate any info that can be shared. |

As a follow up to this question, I would like to know if anyone can offer any advice on if there is a way to convert the csv files to rss/xml files or to import them into a MySQL db, and what is the best if so?
Also, in order to use these csv files in a db on our host, once we create the db, the user, and we are sure we have a solution that is capable of accessing that db properly... are we expected to just maually transpose all of the items info from a feed to the db? That would be rough since I have one feed that has 7900 rows/items with 4 or 5 fields of info for each. There has to be a way that doesn't include being a programer? To be honest, I am new at affiliate marketing, and I have everything in place to get busy, but actually getting these feeds imported into databases on my site, or converted into xml files for my ebay store are the primary roadblock to launching some kind of e-biz. any tips would really be appreciated. I am under the impresion that in spite of the fact that we all could be considered competitors, the internet is huge enough for all of us to be successful, so I would hope my inability to get any answers at all on any forum on the internet on this question (and I have ask on so many I have lost count) isn't a roadblock folks would rather not let new people past. |

To create an xml file from cvs in excel do a save as option and it should list xml 2003. save it as that and you should be good to go.
Also there are programs that will convert cvs to html for your and will save a lot of work. |
