Affiliate Marketing has made it much easier for you to make money

Read an article on the advantages of affiliate marketing over selling retail. You know, the list of advantages are numerous. The question, you as an affiliate should be asking is, 'Am I taking advantage of these benefits?'

Consider that it mentions:-

• Reduced cost of operations as no stock is kept.
• It's a highly cost-effective method to make money. The time you put in initially may be sizeable but later on, the little that you put in translates greatly to more money compared to drawing a salary or managing a store (more work).
• With people around the world logging into the internet, it's a global marketplace without the high taxes, import, export duties, shipping, etc.
• Even for people who have a low budget, it just means that you can start slowly as cost to entry is very low and so the risk is also very low.
• Although we all need to go to sleep, unlike retail that has to close shop when you're not around, your website/affiliate marketing efforts continue to generate money 24/7.

There's alot of things going for you when you become an affiliate. Just make sure you do your part of learning, improving and persevering.

Agreed! For a small portion of the money you would normally invest in a conventional store, you could buy yourself a superb looking site with shopping carts and everything integrated. And then, spend the rest hiring one or two staffers to help with customer service.

The reason alot of people still don't do affiliate marketing even with the benefits are....?

1. Many people don't like to write (and many others don't like to read..inter related). Since affiliate marketing has alot of communication with words, whether on a site, email or newsletter, text ads, etc, it's words.
   
2. There is still a large portion of the demographic who have lived most of their lives not using the internet more than using it. I'm talking about the 'older' people who are comfortable with life with just an email account and some web surfing here and there.
   
3. Fear of the unknown or unfamilliar. This is quite universal. If people take some time to understand affiliate marketing, they'll see that it's a BIG OPPORTUNITY with LOW RISKS. You hear people get burned badly, mortgages, debts with physical store owners but when's the last time you hear this stuff from affiliate marketers?
   
4. Lack of perseverence and growth. They try for 1-6 months without improving and then stop. Many physical store owners don't see a full return for their investments for years.
