Default Overdoing the keywords

They say that there is limit to every thing . This is hundred percent applicable in case of SEO and website promotion also .. It does not matter how great and unique the keyword phrase is. If you over stuff the keywords, you will be rejected by the search engines plain and simple .

Why ? because they also have ways to detect spam and anything overdone is usually spam .

When keywords are overdone, either the reader thinks that you can't write, or the reader knows that you are writing to beat the search engine bots rather than writing for content.

Either way, you lose. If readers don't perceive value in your articles, they won't read them and they will form a negative impression of your organization.

Internet marketing works because people use the internet to search for information. When your articles read more like advertisements than informative articles, no one will pay attention to them.

And it is worse when SEO companies write repetitive text to achieve a good ranking for their own website. I used such an example in my course notes and just noticed that the SEO in question has removed this content from his site.

Repetition used to work in the late 90s and there are some examples that superficially suggest that it works today (usually there are other reasons, such as links), but as seogirl says, it leaves the visitor unimpressed.

overdoing keywords is very detrimental these days. Some does keyword stuffing which are invisible to users. They either embed it in the alt or comment or noscript tag, or use a text color similar to the background color.

Doing this gets your pages banned to Google.
