Affiliate Tip - Write articles on Merchant's products

How do you feature a merchant's product and write an article about it to drive traffic to it? Do you have a strategy or a format to write it?

Reading this article about renewing interior design of your house, room, etc, it talks first about:-

People hate monotonous aspects in life be it in food or surroundings.
---> then proceeds to talk about rearranging furniture
---> and then leading to renovating.
---> then finally he recommends a kohler faucet
---> and puts in an interesting picture and a link to a kohler water tile.
---> ending with benefits of purchasing from kohler.

See how a simple topic leads one thing to another. Keeping it simple and interesting at every section plus a good interesting picture.

Just a suggestion to affiliates to write articles of your merchant's products rather than just place banners.

Yes exactly.Articles with quality could drive in Traffic,but be sure that you got to be unique while crafting these articles.For eg: A good title that is catchy might get you more visitors.And why only for merchants affiliates could do the same for their own products too.

I think as much as that's a good idea, people will soon realize what you're doing and stop coming back. I have a friend who was running a Samsung ad, and she'd post something about the phone everyday, which she could've done in one post. It got very annoying, and boring.
