Buying something online is generally safe and secure when it's on big sites like overstock.com and amazon.com but then there are some niche online stores that sell unique gifts not found anywhere else, which would be great for Christmas presents. Only thing is, how safe is the site in protecting your credit card info?

i usually don't buy things from smaller sites, unless i see that they have all the security measures in place. either that or i pay through paypal.
