Market Saturation, is it a big problem for affiliates?

Earning $300 in 20 days sounds more achievable than the $5000 a month challenges out there.

Firstly in finding a niche market and then selecting two highly relevant affiliate programs to promote.

Finding a niche market was one of her main concern as she didn't want to focus on markets that are already saturated nor markets that are too niche to generate enough referral sales.

Eventually, she went for what she enjoyed writing about (still a good market) but not putting too much fuss on 'saturation'.

Which i agree since market saturation doesn't take into consideration that a sizeable portion of the market is easily won over with good solid, unique content plus visitors tend to visit multiple sites of the same subject. That's not taking into consideration, new readers, new to internet, etc.

One of the comments mention that in picking up a niche, to consider the consumers/buyers in the market and how big of the market is. Not very good if you happen to target a b2b market is it?
