How can I make money online?

Hi all,
I am new here. I want to make money online. Can anyone tell me exactly how can I make money online without spending a lot of money? I have my own PC with internet connection but I’m unable to do anything because I’m fresher and I don’t have the exact information. Therefore, I am posing here my problem. If someone could please help me. Your suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Since you are here at this forum, I presume you have a website / blog and already joined the affiliatebot affiliate program.

Affiliate programs is one of the best avenue to make some money online since most of them are free to join and you make money by placing the affiliate ads on your website/blogs.

There are however many opportunities in which you can make money online. You just need to find out what you like to do first. Do be very careful though as there are lots of scam out there. Do your research and homework well before you decide to do something online.

As for me, I currently have 2 websites & 6 blogs which are making money for me. I am using Google Adsense and affiliate programs as my main money making tools.

I am currently promoting my online paid survey website which is one of my main income earners. These online surveys programs are free to join and therefore its easier to promote and higher conversion rates. Its easy to make extra money joining these online survey panels but you can much more money promoting their referrals & affiliate programs.

You need to decide what you want to do. If you like writing then you can make money by blogging using google adsense as your money making tools.

Search around, I am sure you can a find a good online money making opportunity that will suit you.

We've all seen the made 10 billion in two hours scams but there really are a lot of people making a lot of money online.

How do they do it?
There are a number of different ways to make money but the easiest way with little or no money in my opinion would be article marketing.

I have no experience.
Whether you very familiar with the workings of the internet or can barely check email is really not important. (I'm closer to the barely able to check email group) You can still make money online, I'll be the first to tell you it does take a lot of hard work.

If you're looking for an easy, set it and forget it fortune...sorry I'm not sure that one exist. But with a little hard work and a willingness to learn you can be on your way to making money online.

How can I learn to make money online?
There's always trial and error but be careful you can spend a ton of money buying worthless books. I personally use wealthy affiliates they offer an 8 week training course that gets you started in the right direction and the support they offer to help you succed is exceptional.

It looks like we have done a circle. I mean to say, earlier people worked from home like farmers, weavers, goldsmiths etc. Later on, industralization and mass production created jobs outside homes. However, now with population explosion and decreasing land space, people are back to working at homes. Now, internet explosion has hastened the "work-at-homes" jobs.

I firmly believe that if one wants to make "good" money online; I am talking about the kind of money that would sustain you on a monthly basis, handle expenses a normal 9-5 job would, you would need to be doing the following:

1. Find few good affiliate programs that have a reasonable payout of say $35-$50 per referral. The products in these affiliate programs must also be in demand and reasonably priced so that people can afford to buy them.

2. Create your own digital product and create an affiliate program for it. I am not talking about eBooks. I am talking about software utilities that people would use to accomplish some task on their computer or enhance their computing experience. The beauty of having your own product(s) is that you will have an army of affiliates marketing your products for you. In other words, you pay not advertising cost. Make sure you reward your affiliates handsomely for their efforts. I recommend a 40%-50% commission. You do not have to be a programmer to have software products created. You can go to rentacoder.com or scriptlance.com to get ideas of what types of products other people are having programmers create for them. You higher a programmer to create your product for you. As an example, 3 years ago I created a "not-so-good" software application that I sold for $29.95. I offered affiliates a 40% commission. I had 5 good affiliates. I was pulling in $6500/month for over 2 years with that product until my competition came out with a better product. This illustration shows the power of product ownership and having an affiliate program for it.

4. Another great way to generate a good monthly income is to create a software Download Directory like the ones you see at http://www.freedownloadscenter.com and http://www.freewarefiles.com. Further, you can monetize these types of websites with Google Adsense. Notice the Google pageranks of the two sites mentioned above. If you ever achieve such Pagerankings, you can sell advertising. You can also use these types of websites to build your mailing list by creating a newsletter. The problem, however, is that it is difficult to find quality scripts for this type of venture. Fortunately, I have written a powerful script that makes having such a "professional looking" directory possible. It is due to be released in 14 days. (I building the website).

5. Another idea is to create a "professional looking" link directory. These types of websites, if done correctly can be, in time, very profitable. Why? Because you can charge link submitters a fee for submitting regular links and featured links. You can charge them a fee to submit regular articles and featured articles. You can also let link submitters submit a reciprocal link (link back to your site) for no-fee. This will assist in boosting your Google Pagerank. As your link directory grows (in the number of links) and in popularity, you can increase the price of link submissions and even sell advertising on your website. The key here is to do it right: Purchase a quality link directory script and template. People will be more than happy to pay you to include their link in your directory. An example of a quality link directory can be found at http://www.ipsarion.com.

There are many many other ways to make money online inexpensively. More so than the monetary expense is the expense of your time. Most successful Internet marketers are dedicated and possess the drive to make money.

I have been writing an ebook that goes into all of the above (and more) in much more detail. The ebook will also include videos. My goal is to have it completed no later than May 15 for anyone interested. I will announce it in the appropriate section of this forum when it is ready.

But the bottom line: I know these things work because I have been doing them for years. None of these things are really new. It is just many people do not know how to implement.

I'd concur with MockCee that a crucial point is to sign up to one or more affiliate programs that give you a nice chunky payout. This is important because, obviously, it means that you earn more money per sale.

But also it says something about the program (well usually, at least). That is that the program managers have a great deal of confidence that it will sell well, because they are offering affiliates a big proportion of the sale.

The best way to make money online without a massive initial investment is to find a good affiliate network and then look for a handful of products, after you find products that you feel you would buy yourself, find ways to sell it to other people. Webhosting, autoresponders, etc. are all relatively cheap these days, for all my sites (not including advertising), my overhead only runs around $400 a year.
