and I don't have a site I am looking to start one but am not that technical part of starting a site.
I would like to become an affiliate, just need to know how.
And one more question, about how much does an average affiliate make???

Don't know how to start a site?
Then why don't you just start with blogger.com.
Free, easy and immediate.

As to how to grow the site, you'll need to do more of your own research, read books, etc.

Different affiliates perform differently depending on level of activity and skill. Aim to learn and be really good at affiliate marketing and there's no better time than now to start your journey. Don't go for average, aim for the top 20% that usually earn most of the commissions.
