Default Newbies in internet marketing

One of the reasons is, newbies think that all they need is a computer, a web site and a product and they’re in business. If it were that easy, everyone would be a howling success. Unfortunately it’s not.
You will find a lot of pitfalls and roadblocks in your quest to become successful online. In many cases it will be one step forward and two steps back. You’ll probably have many more failures than successes.
You will find at times, you have no control over certain situations. There are so many facets to internet marketing that things will go wrong no matter how careful you are. This can be frustrating and if you’re not prepared, you will quit.

This is such a good enlightenment. I'm a newbie in internet marketing and as always I expect the worst of every endeavor I have. I'll never quit as long as I learn new things from each mistake I had. Everyday is a learning for me and there are lots of learnings in the internet which I haven't acquired. I want to learn more and will never stop learning coz I'm not a quitter...and quitters never succeed.

Exactly , you what , even I have had times when I wanted to quit altogether and go on with some other job or so , but something kept me back and I am glad for that .
When you start making money online , the thing is that you are unaware of where to find the right information and also one more short coming was that when i used search the search engines the top results were all promotions , but a newbie is looking for information on how to , then i searched people's blogs and i really found some information and from then on it has been good.

It is important to remember to be ethical in your Internet marketing enterprises. Those people who are in it for the quick buck can hurt the rest of us.

When I was working for an SEO service company, we constantly came across the proverbial customer who believed that "if you build it, they will come" (the actual quote from the movie is "if you build it, *he* will come").

Sadly some of these were business owners who could not be convinced that they needed SEO or PPC to bring the traffic. They had convinced themselves that the web does not work.

The other sad fact is that many have paid a lot of money to build a site that happens to be SE-unfriendly. They too don't want to spend any more and some are convinced that their web designer built a site that cannot be improved.

Lone ranger newbies, be ready for:-
  • Learning...lots and lots of learning and catching up with current news & trends.
  • Frustrations. Things you can't figure out. Long hours figuring out things. Late nights. (Save time, ask an expert, a patient one).
  • Discouragements - Doubt, family, friends, yourself at times. There will always be a friend that will say "It's better if you" or "You can't...".
  • Repeatedly "Where did all the time go?" phenomenons
But keep at it and it gets easier cuz you get better, so does the results.

"This is the lesson: never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy." Winston Churchill
