Default Online Bill Payments

There are three levels of service: online bill paying, online bill notification, and full-service online bill notification. It is very easy to open an account. In most cases, you can do this online, skipping paperwork. Charges paid online: You'll still obtain your bills by postal mail, but you'll fee all or some of them by accessing your online account. Your bank will also transfer the money by e-mail or will mail a check on your name. Many online bank accounts enable you to do this. Online bill notification: Together with paying your bills online, you will also receive any or all of them online rather than by postal mail. If the receiver doesn't admit online payments, the service will send a paper check. Check Free, Quicken, Yahoo, Bills.com, and Citibank offer such services.

That was interesting, but there is more to the online bill payments. They contribute a lot to saving our earth.

Did you know?
  1. Our forests are home to half of the world's species that live on land. Yet over-exploitation has wiped out more than half of the world's original forest cover.
  2. A single tree is cut for every 3000 sheets of paper produced.
  3. Each ton of saved of paper saved can save:
    • 17 trees to produce more oxygen.
    • 1438 litres of precious oil to run our industries.
    • Three cubic yards of landfill space towards providing housing to the homeless.
    • 4100 kilowatts of scarce energy to light up our homes.
    • Over 26497 gallons of fresh water to irrigate our farms and much more

Therefore, it is real beneficial to encourage this mode of payment and there is a plus point of not getting misplaced in the mail.

Therefore, we should all join hands and ensure that the computer literacy spreads fast and our environment is saved from further disaster

I heard a lot about cheating while you pay online, is it really so risky?

Don't think so. That was the case 10 years ago. I believe pay systems like Paypal and credit cards have improved tremendously since.

Online payments are here to stay. In fact, I foresee the disappearance of paper money in most advanced societies in about 15 years. It may even be earlier.
