Default Promoting Products vs 'Good Ideas'

This guy sharing his experience in affiliate marketing as well. Stating how ineffective it can be for those promoting the 'work from home business' that you see everywhere in the internet.

One of the problems stated is those people who signed up, did nothing with the program and of course, he in turn didn't get further income from it.

One tip that was suggested was to stick with a few affiliate programs and focus. Affiliates need to really promote something they believe in. People will always want good products but not everyone knows what to do with a good 'idea'.

I generally avoid sites promoting "Work From Home" businesses because they generally are scams. Legit work from home businesses don't promote their businesses as such.

Well, it is a pyramid type scheme that usually promises everything to everyone. Everything is clearly blown out of proportion and highly exaggerated. The thing is, it's soooo clear but many people still go for it. Desperate? Looking for something easy? But clearly there's much attraction to the word 'Work from home'. Remember, you only hear the 'positive reports' of it and not much of the 'failure' stories. Earn millions from home? If only it were that simple.

Yes. They're not distributing any tangible products. The ebook downloads can be empty files. I guess desperation is one thing, but most people won't fall for it. And I'm sure the testimonials are made up too, cause I doubt they really have a single satisfied member.

Home business. There's a high demand for it. Everyone dreams of it. As the working environment becomes more competitive, harsher and stressful, these promises will be more and more enticing.

Good to take note: The lure of working from home is a strong incentive that if worked into an ad or tied well with a product, can generate high levels of interest. Like sex.

I think home businesses are good, but more as a secondary backup income. I think as long as the organization can prove that they're legit, the demand is definitely there.

One of the differences in starting an online home business is that there are additional skills that are essential to your success that you will need to learn and master. For brick and mortar businesses, you may be experienced in your industry for 5 years, then start your own. But bringing it to the internet introduces a new set of skills to adopt. Unless you were experienced in that 5 years working for an online store company, then perhaps you would have learned all that you need during that time (but the employment contracts would have sufficiently protected your boss and prevent you from being a smartass).

So.....

Learn the business --> Learn the internet --> Start your online business

And that may take years. Which you may not have.

So, there are a few ways to cut short the time. Many people would say that they don't have a clue how to go about it but as always, the answers are all in the internet.

1) Learn from your competitors (successful). Copy how they design their website, what stuff to feature, who they partner with, the functions that they are using.

2) Utilize a system. Join affiliatebot.com, sign-up for an online marketing service, or buy a relateable book with a full set of systems to get you started. This is so that you don't have to figure everything out and at least provide you with a platform to learn faster by letting the 'creator' of the system explain what each step in the system is for.

3) Or stick with something simple and basic but provides results (however small) and then slow build on it. Maybe you sign-up as an affiliate and start promoting one or two programs. You get results, like $20 a month in commissions. Then in the next month, make 10 upgrades to your efforts (post more, write more targeted content, increase the number of people you email to, improve site design slightly, etc). Try to reinvest your small 'profits' into the business to generate higher per month profits the following month. Keep snowballing until you get to what you want. Learn from mistakes and when certain things doesn't work for you.

Cool

It is always advisable to promote your own products and business working from home rather then doing it for someone else. There has been numerous cases when affiliates have cried out in open, stating as to how they were either robbed or denied of their commissions. As it is it isn't possible for an affiliate to make a living from earning money online by promoting other people's products. And it is better to refer to those advertisements as spam rather than scam and get it deleted straight away as they never pay of.

Learn the ropes, then teach it to your downlines. We hope to build such a system in AffiliateBOT soon, where the more experienced affiliates and teach their downlines to earn and get a paycheck for themselves in the process. If you can turn 10% of the people you recruit into your own army to agents, then it would work out nicely for all parties.

At the meantime, avoid get rich quick schemes.
