Found this interesting site with a series of informative and 'captivating' articles. Basically a report on some daily sales that were generated. There was a goal to earn $25 in affiliate sales within 21 days and that target was achieved. Of course it took more than a hundred domains, many websites later. Writing the experience as a novice, detailing the step by step process as well as the various methods used.

Not yet earn revenue as there was so much cost involved, but definitely worth reading for many newbies out there in affiliate marketing.

It helps to provide a more realistic picture of affiliate marketing.

It's interesting, but not very detailed. Of course, at first the commissions will trickle and later pick up pace.

It picks up pace because... the traffic increases. As you actively promote the blog, and utilize SEO, etc, you get not only traffic but targeted traffic. As time goes by, with the proper subscriptions, rss, newsletter, membership, etc, you build a base of loyal readers and that in turn will generate more credibility, stable high levels of traffic and thus stabilize your income.

It's funny. In another thread, this guy has made about 95 quid in just 6 weeks. What a difference.

Well, I guess a lesson for new affiliates is to not give up if things doesn't pick up in the beginning. But if you build it, they will come. Extend those 'lofty' expectations further down the road, when you've done sufficient building and promotion of your site. See all the work that's been poured out to get $25 bucks? Not very appealing but we're looking at the potential and sticking to the plan.
