Default Sites with milion dollar promises

There are plenty of sites out there that promises wealth and riches. They sell newsletter subscriptions, plans, books, methods, etc.

What to look out for? The following article has a few practical guidelines.
Frustration of a newb

Makes me wonder, if these 'experts' tone down on their promises, paint a more realistic picture and provide realistic expectations, would their sales do better? Or perhaps it would become unattractive at all.

One recurring thing that I see from these sites are, they feature Promise after promise and paint the most beautiful picture, like heaven on earth but offer no credibility what so ever. I mean, come on, show me a website or something that's still going strong instead of a landing page.

Also, if If my method works so well, I'd have some companies signing up for it and I'd have no reason not to feature these established sites on my site. Rather than say "thousands of people have used our system to earn xxxxx", show us a credible case example and one high profile customer.

Tons of sites with big promises out there, but so far there's no winning formula besides, learning, improving, increasing your skills, hardwork and persevering.

I think you can tell how big a company is by how the website looks. Most of these ad pages selling all kinds of stuff look like they've been created by a five year old. They just turn you off right away.

Also, lately due to the growth of web templates out there and how hosting companies are making it easier and easier to come up with a 'professional' looking sites, I've been coming across with tons of new sites geared to look like they've been in the industry for some time.

Possibly, at this rate, more and more sites will begin to look better. So eventually, we'll look for more clues like perhaps:-

1) Personal photos with the products
2) Factory or shop photos
3) The team behind the business (individual or group).
4) Company events, promotion, roadshow photos and info.

If you see the above info in the site, wouldn't it get you to feel more secure about the merchant's products.

A shabby website shows one thing- that the owner has no idea what he/she is doing. Your company website is as good as your physical store. If you have a restaurant that looks like a dump, no one would want to eat there.

What reasons are there for companies to just put up a website? Wanting to get it up there first and improve along the way? Maybe wasted too much time delaying, procrastinating on developing the website and decided to just put it up first.

Some possibly think a bad design is fine until the sales don't appear. Many gave up on their products doing well online.

Learn to do it right.
