Wikipedia had its 2 millionth English language article written on September 10th, the company says. Not bad at all for a company only having been around for six years.
While complaints about this site abound from whether it is really open at all or just a bluff because your article usually ends up being edited thus losing its original flavor. The only thing that keeps them going till today is the fact that they are funded by anonymous donors. I wonder how much of an influence these donors exact on this company. |

Wikipedia, though it use to be called an 'open' online dictionary, but now it's heavily monitored and require editor approvals to modify it. I wonder what's the benefits of making it open?
After all, the internet is mostly about information.
