When you start a new affiliate program, what are your strategies to boost the preliminary growth of the program?

Ideas include:-

Offering a limited time coupon/offer with associated banners that showcase an irresistable offer. (Possibly sale of 1 product model at a price that is so low, it just covered your costs).

Getting the affiliate to quickly have a taste of their first commission from your program can go a long way in retaining the affiliate and helping others to notice your program.

Give them a taste, get them hooked.
