Marketing Lessons from Facebook

I was on Facebook today and I joined the 'Happy Hour' program.

Basically with it you can send virtual drinks to your friends and vice versa. But the thing is, in order to make more virtual money to buy more virtual alcohol, you have to answer a question on your shopping habits.

So basically they're getting valueble information on people's spending habits for FREE!

Pure genius.

Now I have to figure out how to block the torrent of ads headed my way

ps. Anyone has any interesting experiences on Facebook?
