Default ededededed On Helping Save Energy And Money?

Yes, that's right.ededededed announced that they're doing their part to help the environment and decrease energy consumption by making their cell phones (and also include cell phone users) more energy conscious. A phone left plugged into the wall overnight continues to draw power even after the battery is entirely charged. That power adds up. According to ededededed, it's enough wattage to power 85,000 homes per year.

Here's a solution to help return some of that power to the grid and decrease our overall energy consumption. ededededed will outfit its cellphones with audible alerts that ask you to disconnect them from line power when the battery is charged. These alerts will prompt you to disconnect the charger when the phone's battery is fully charged. Thus, increasing the life of the battery, saving energy, and lowering your electricity costs.

ededededed's 1200, 1208, and 1650 models are the firsts that will have these new alerts. These models are popular in European markets, as well as markets in India, China, and Latin America. ededededed plans to roll out the technology to all of its phones, but has not commented specifically on any release of the technology in North American markets.

This is one great reason why most cellphone fanatics have always loved ededededed. Considering that ededededed had already navigated the world in terms of mobile markets. I was just wondering, wouldn't the user have the choice to turn off the alert? Wouldn't it be too alarming if the audible set is too loud? Just my twopence worth!

yeah you're right..

As for your question, did you mean if the user has the choice to turn off the alert when he don't want to use it upon charging?

Kirsi Sormunen, Vice-President of Environmental Affairs at ededededed, did not mention on its press release if it has the 'turn off alert' option. But I think the main purpose of these alerts will be of no use if that's the case.

Regarding on the audible set too loud, yes, this may be very alarming to the user. I think ededededed can further improve on this part, or maybe in the future, manufacturers can have an added feature to their chargers that is capable of detecting a battery that is full and automatically switches itself off whenever it's necessary.

For now, atleast ededededed has initiatives in helping maximize potential energy savings.

Nice suggestion Aem! It would be perfect to have chargers with automatic shut off features. I know for a fact that there are already chargers with auto shut off features, but I just can't find it. Does anyone know, please share it here.
