For a suit to fit like a glove, you usually have to go to a bespoke tailor. But not at Brooks Brothers, the classic men's clothing store in New York. Instead of the old-school measuring tape and pins, customers now step into a booth equipped with a body-scanning software program that takes over 200,000 measurements in 12 seconds.
After a scan of your body, a virtual mannequin is created for the perfect fit.
The data points are then turned into a three-dimensional body map of the customer. After choosing fabric and other details, the measurements are sent out to tailors and the garment mailed back within 15 days for its one and only fitting
