Hey everybody,

I started promoting web hosting products with commission junction as my affiliate network.

The problm i hav is that since i started in febuary last year, i've gotten 500 clicks with no commission. I don't know if this is normal or if i'm not doing something right.

Could it be that sales don't reflect until after sometime? pls can so somon hlp me with more info.

Getting your first 500 clicks but no commissions in not uncommon. Here are a few questions that you may find helpful in evaluating the problem

1.) Are you pre-selling your visitors before you send them to the merchant (so that they are already in a buying mode) ?

2.) Are you sending targeted visitors that have a interest in the products and the ability to purchase the product ?

Hopefully you're using a squeeze page to capture your leads so that you can send follow-up emails.

Did you try to selling per lead,download or money? I also offer something as free download and get paid per lead.They don' have to buy anything.Conversion is much higher.

It sounds as if you aren't reaching your target market. The people who are clicking on your link may be looking for information about web hosting and not looking to purchase web hosting services. The people you want to attract are people who are ready to buy. For example, I may go to several different websites to find information and reviews about web hosting. When I finally decide on which site to use, I'll most likely go back to the site that made me want to finally buy the web hosting service.
