Default Online Casino Affiliate Market- is it worth the risk?

I have opened a similar thread in another forum and I saw some good responses, clarifications and issues about the topic. I wonder if I can get some additional input from you guys in this forum.

This is what I have gathered so far:

1. The U.S. Congress passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act last Sept 2006. However the law seems to confuse many in the industry as to the status of USA online gambling, existing accounts they may have with sites that offer USA online gambling, and where they are able to play.

2. This new legislations does not make online gambling in the USA illegal. The act is aimed at blocking financial transactions related to gambling.

3. However, USA online gambling operators (sportsbooks, online casino and online poker rooms) are taking very different actions. Some have completely stopped taking bets, some are restricting certain states, and for others it is business as usual.

4. There is a growing impression that US Online Casino industry will be thriving in a few years with home grown online casinos - that is US owned and operated. So those in affiliate marketing for these online casinos may be in a good position to make a push sometime soon.

What do you feel about the issue? Is it worth to hold on to anything you got or did before the US ban?
