Default Webjay is closing on June 30

Yeah, you heard it right. Webjay, music streaming tool bought by Yahoo early January 2006 will be out of commission and be closing probably of the decreasing traffic that it generates for the market.

In line to this, Webjay would be joining the Yahoophotos and YahooAuctions for the roster of the features that has already closed for Yahoo. For music lovers outthere, you will surely missed webjay and now you can start backing-up your playlists!

Goodluck, see the full article - Webjay closing

And now, I should come up with backing up those playlists because my winamp refers to webjay, however I'll take your advice, I'm just sorry that this will happen to webjay...it is added to the lists of mortalized web tools

Yahoo is starting to do its house cleaning for services that have not been doing good in the market. Well that is the way successful business establishments do...are open to change even though it means closing shop for some of its non-performing assets.

Well , I don't really use it so really it isnt shocking to me . I did use it once for my media player playlists , but it gave me some problem . Since webjay allowed users to publish music playlists on the web I did see people's playlists and listed songs from there . Media players such as WinAmp and Windows Media Player could then be given a list of songs to play from locally stored music or via web streaming , but might be difficult on slower connections .
